Why a vector file?
A vector file consists of lines and shapes defined mathematically. You can enlarge it without limit and it never gets blurry, and the colours can be separated exactly. That matters for techniques such as screen printing and pad printing, where each colour is printed separately, and for embroidery, where the logo is converted into stitches.
A .jpg or .png is a pixel file. Enlarge it and the edges become blurry. A small logo taken from your website is therefore usually not suitable for printing. No vector file? Ask your designer or printer; they usually still have it. If that fails, our design team can often still make your logo print-ready.
Tips for the best result
- Convert text to outlines, so the font cannot change.
- State your brand colours, preferably as Pantone (PMS) colours, so your logo is printed in the right colour.
- Think about the background. A dark logo is hard to read on a dark bag. Do you have a light or white version of your logo? Send it along.
- Keep it simple on small print areas. On a pen or key ring, a compact version of your logo works better than one with a long slogan.
The ordering process step by step
- Choose your product in the web shop or request a free quote. State the quantity, colour(s), logo position and any deadline.
- Supply your logo. Not ready yet? You can send it later via the upload link you receive from us.
- Receive your digital print proof. Within one working day you receive a free digital print proof by email, showing how your logo will look on the product: position, size and colours.
- Approve or request a change. Check the proof carefully: spelling, colours, position and size. Production only starts after your approval.
- Production and delivery. Printed stock items are usually delivered within 8 to 14 working days after your approval. If you wait longer than 24 hours to approve, the delivery date moves accordingly.
Why the print proof matters
Printed items are made specially for you, so the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to them. The print proof is your moment to check everything. Still not satisfied with the print or quality after delivery? Contact us within 15 days and we will work with you on a solution, such as a correction, replacement or compensation.
