Sustainability is very important to us and we want to play an important role in this. Sustainable products play a crucial role in promoting environmental awareness within society. We offer the possibility to purchase products and find promotional items that have a lower impact on the environment and health. We offer products that are very sustainable and are made of materials and raw materials that have a view of a cleaner future.
Coffee grounds
Wherever coffee is drunk, there are also coffee grounds. Coffee grounds are the waste that remains after making a cup of coffee. Coffee grounds were previously used by growers to grow mushrooms, now they can also be used to make bioplastic.
In the Netherlands, we drink around 14 million cups of coffee every year. That is equivalent to around 300 million kilos of coffee grounds annually. Most of it is thrown away, but new research from the Japanese Yokohama University has come up with a solution. The waste can be used to make high-quality products, coffee grounds can be converted into nanofibers that have the same quality as fibers from wood or plants.
We offer several products (partly) made from coffee grounds. Products such as drinking cups, pens, sunglasses, notebooks and much more. By using coffee grounds as a raw material, you can significantly reduce the CO2 footprint during the production process
Sugar cane
Sugarcane is an excellent renewable source for 100% recyclable bioplastic. During the growth process of sugarcane, it removes CO2 from the air. Some sources show that for every kilogram of bioplastic produced, 3.09 kilograms of CO2 are removed from the air. Sugarcane is also grown on “unusable soil”. This means that it does not lead to deforestation and actually replenishes the soil.
Sugarcane plastics have an identical chemical composition to petrochemical plastics and have the same safe benefits. Drinking bottles made from sugarcane plastic are waterproof, food-safe and 100% recyclable after long-term use.
We offer many options made from sugarcane, including the Tacx Shiva 500ml made from sugarcane. These bottles are of very high quality and durable. These bottles are 100% recyclable and after years of use, they can be separated from the plastic and converted into reusable bioplastic.
Reuse of raw materials
A large part of our range is made from recycled materials. Including recycled milk cartons, recycled aluminum or stainless steel and recycled fabrics such as cotton. This increases the possibility of a circular production process of products.
With these types of products we work with organizations and companies such as Plastic Bank®, Circular&Co, Oxious and Join the Pipe. Many of our products are GRS/RCS-certified and produced within Europe.
This ensures that these products are (partly) produced from recycled materials.
